#OutandAboutAva checks out Bass Babies Program @BassMuseum

The new season of Bass Babies started March 4th and my Mommy was very interested in bringing me to check out the program for 2-4 year olds at the Bass Museum, located at 2100 collins avenue, Miami Beach, fl 33139
"This program is for the museum’s youngest visitors and those who care for them. Bass Babies is a weekly class where toddlers and their caretakers work closely to discover creative and fun ways to interact with art through song, gallery activities and art making."
We joined the session 3: discovering the senses March 11 th class which focused on "hear".
The intimate class held from 10-11:30am was led into singing "Old McDonald Had A Farm" by the teacher who also played the guitar. The children were encouraged to sing along and mimic the animal sounds. Later in class a recording of sounds were played for the children to identify. Puppets were also introduced to the kids and an instrument to listen to. We then created our own instruments, shakers made out of rice or beans from recycled bottles. The kids especially loved decorating them. After a light snack of goldfish crackers and water provided by the museum , we headed out to the courtyard for more song and play with the newly made shaker instruments. The museum provided a safe and fun environment for me to learn. We can not wait to return on Tuesday!
